I think he sounds stunning no matter what the facial hair situation is.
But on an aesthetic note......I dont think I could choose one or the other but it certainly does have a different appeal whichever way....
Maybe he will have a goatee next! |

I still he's very nice to look at no matter what sort of hair situation he's got going on. Could we see him bald with no beard?
I will never understand why men think some hair is worse than having NO hair. Doesn't it get tiring having to shave one's head all the time? I know shaving two legs gets rather tedious and my legs take way longer to shave than one scalp would.. |

| My daughter just snuck up on my looking at pictures of James. Her response. "Ewwwww, he needs to do a little work on the face and shave up that beard a little bit. Mom, tell him to get a new shaver because the one he has isn't working." The hand gestures to the face were hysterical. Guess she doesn't like the beard either. xx |

I think his preference is what counts... lol
personally, no preference.. each option has its pro
clean shaven and shortcut like he had at the bbc concert on the bedlam dvd made him look very young and gave him a more naive/open look
the stubble adds some shades to his face, that mark the form of his face better and makes him look a bit older than 20... lol
short beardgrowth like he had in the photoshoot with the bright blue shirt pic and the pic of him sitting and his guitar next to him made him look sexy
the more overgrown beard he had at the end of last year (before the strictly come dancing performance) seems to have been more a result of not worrying about appearance too much and working hard to get the new bassplayer John in shape then a choice for that look itself.
But that 'I just got out of bed and don't care to shave' - look expresses imho his feelings about appearances and looks altogether... looks are outside, real beauty can be found inside a person :) |
