I stopped at HMV to pick up the new CD and to look for a few other things. While I was in the back aisles trying to track down a classical song, their "mix tape" clicked over to play I Can't Hear the Music. Of course I was mumbling along to it, the fellow next to me said, "who's singing?" and I showed him the new CD....off to the front he went to pick it up!

When I checked out, they said more than half of the customers who'd made purchases this morning had bought All The Lost Souls. Good showing, I would say.

After an intoxicating birthday weekend, I planned a quiet breakfast, slow day and plane flight home from vaca in the south of France on my actual birthday. Birthdays have always been days when I think about where I’ve been, where I’m going, what makes me happy in my life.

As I enjoyed yet another a cup of coffee in the deserted hotel restaurant overlooking the ocean, I heard, “Billy’s leaving today, don’t know where he’s going,” followed by the remainder of B2B. It put a smile on my face, as proper classical music had been piped in every other time I’d been in the restaurant. It was nice to know that someone else there also wanted to listen to a little James that day.

So, I was sitting in my living room.... oh wait, you mean out and about as in away from home....

Well sadly I live in a very rural part of the states and they are a bit behind the times. Yesterday, yes the day ATLS was released, the radio station in Fargo, ND announced that the latest from James was going to be played next. It was You're Beautiful!

I called the station and offered them ATLS since the program director and music director are both idiots. The gentleman I was talking to told me he was both, and asked when he could expect the CD. I sent it today.

Funny Rhino! That reminds me of a SNL skit where the person behind the counter moves from place to place (behind the counter) takin on the different roles and sends the one person in line to the other employee which is one in the same!

Wow! THAT'S confusing!!!!!

I have heard his music several places when out and about. To name a few the supermarket, a couple of different restaurants, at the mall and of course in my car. The weirdest place I have heard his music was while I was at the dentist. I am still waiting to hear 1973 played on the radio here. I guess it would help if I would take my CD out and actually listen to the radio once in awhile.

1973 is on the loop that our local mall plays.

As far as local radio stations, I can't get them to play anything Blunt. They mentioned the new album, but as far as playing it...nothing.

In Jamaica I've only ever heard songs from B2B on the radio...specifically YB [all the time], GML, High & Wisemen. I'm still waiting to hear 1973 but then again, I don't think it's even here as yet! I'll be back to let you all know when I finally do hear it!!!

I've only heard "High" in a store twice and YB on the radio a couple times and that is it. My hubby says he hears YB all the time on their work satellite station and now 1973. It figures he hears him and I don't!

Yesterday I heard '1973' twice. First it was played in a shoe shop (oh, James' music And new shoes - kind of hard to cope with two 'addictive substances' at the same time...) and a second time in a Japanese restaurant.

Another nice tit bit: Throughout the centre of Berlin (i.e. at the underground stations) there are some mega-sized adverts (of about 2mx2m), showing the album cover. I spent nearly half an hour looking at all the (now decent-sized) pictures of James and ???. Really nice pictures, very interesting I have to admit!!

YES!!! ALL THE LOST SOULS was playing as the featured disc

in the music store I went into today. It was playing over the speakers in the store...
"Why don't you give me some love.. I've taken a sh*t load of drugs.."
I sang along and the other people in the store shot furtive glances at me and my kid, as she said "Oh way to go Mom, scare people with your singing.. lol"

I might add that the price for that selection All the Lost Souls was almost FOUR dollars cheaper than in one of the BIGGEST CHAIN STORES IN THE WORLD... wtf is that all about? I didn't hear James Blunts voice in their MEGA WATT music & electronics department either - FOR SHAME_-as his album art work is somewhat prominently featured in their adverts for new releases...

Anyway- he is out there!!! Go James. I think Carry You Home should be the next single after Same Mistake.

I Have heard 1973 everyday on the radio for the last week. On Wednesday the disc jockey did a little promotional bit about him and his new album . She played a portion of an interview I think I've heard before about his career thus far and the new songs. I have heard Good Bye My lover a couple of times in the last couple of weeks too, and parts of that song are played as a commercial bit with other songs to promote the station. It just makes me feel so weird to hear his voice in that setting and GBML especially is disconcerting.
