I have fallen off to the wayside myself with school, work, kids and a new flame.

I remember Emilialiberty...miss her and Sisheido (sp?)

It has been quite a while hasn't it?? Wow, time has flown by. I only come by once in a while now. I would love to see another newsletter from James.
I dont even know if James has posted a new one recently....

It's been a week! I knew y'all would miss me terribly and not know what to do with yourselves. But now the fun has arrived and we can all continue the festivities! heh-heh
yeah, well, anyways...
It's cool to read the understanding and connections here and it is just awesome that it was music, specifically James Blunt's, that brought who is here together... whenever we get together: posting on a forum, phone calls, concerts, coffee... It's Life so I'm content reading and adding to when the fancy strikes. No, I doubt I'll ever see you on the street and recognise you - I'm terrible associating writing styles with faces. But maybe, just maybe, we'll bump into each other and start a conversation. You may even hear me humming a JB tune I'm sure that will start something.

Hello - Part of the problem, which is nobody's fault, is the fact that so many topics will repeat something covered months before. Nothing wrong in that, but boardie fatigue hits us all at some time or an other.

Like snail and others say, our lives sometimes get in the way, there are more important things than James Blunt and us lot, who said "Oh no there's not" There is I tell you, there's a life beyond that door and the stack of JB cd's. Get out there, gallop down the street screaming "I'm Free" but not in a John Inman way, you might get some funny looks.

Looking back at the old boards recently my old friend Wisemanuk stood out in nearly every post she responded to. Some doubted she was real, and that included me at some point, but in the end that didn't matter.

That individual, Wisey I called her, was so alive, incredibly spontaneous, extremely funny, and without wishing to cause offence to the other wonderful boardies I know, and those I don't. I don't think anyone has replaced her. What ever the "truth" is, all I know is that I chatted on the internet with her quite often, she told me about her school, her family, her dance classes, her wish for people to stop questioning her about her weight which concerned everyone who knew her. In those exchanges I would ask questions and she would answer immediately, and I never had reason to doubt her.

Was I hoodwinked? yes that's possible, but for me she was real, and I like to think that Wisey is happy dancing among the stars.

Bless you , Freddy....... Wisey was so wonderful , and hell, would she love you for remembering her .

So many people have come and gone from here . James' music has gotton us all through so many times of sadness and feelings of being lost , and for some of us we keep on coming back. Others let go of what it was that brought them here , as life interrupts so much of where we want to be in our thoughts ,with the people who have so openly offered a hug , a phone call , a visit , or a seat next to them at gig or just a word of love.

Who ever has spent time here will cherish every one who has been a friend and listened and shared. Thats a fact !

I have a feeling that people still visit these boards, only they don't post as much any more, and I think the people who have been around for a long while have made comments about almost every aspect of James' live and music.

When I see a new thread appearing that has been also on the old boards I can't bring myself to write anything because I have probably written about something like that before. Althougn the different topics about James might be exciting to the new boardies who join, I think the older ones of us have talked about that topic before, and we're all talked out.

Therefore, James should do something he hasn't done before to get everyone talking about him!!!!

Hmmm what could that be then ... try getting married, have a divorce, write an autobiography, make a cross-stitch picture of Elvis, learn Welsh - yes, learn Welsh James, that should it. That should get everybody talking!!!!

Perhaps some of them feel sick now? Maybe they ate something they don't like (damn I need to check my spelling), i hear spaghetti doesn't agree with some people..

James should not do anything outrageous, i would have a hard time respecting him in the morning if he did.. lol I thought James already knew how to speak Welsh.? Cross stitch Elvis!! now that's not too wild.. we could discuss his needle point technique.. some men knit you know...

Nope that looks like nothing I'm familiar with, especially that funny grey bit - a cute, multi-layered hat for very cold weather perhaps?

(I've led a very sheltered life.....)

I'm not all that familiar with whatever that is either, but it's looks as though if one shoved something in far enough, it would be quite toasty inside.

Perhaps he could knit this for himself for those cold days in Ibiza without a boiler....and alone.

Hat? LOL, Noblebones!
If it's cold in Ibiza, he could make one of these to keep the draft out from his bedroom (or maybe we boardies could make one for him?):

Where do you get these knitting patterns from????They are really funny!

James could actually try wearing a kilt. That would bring back some of the old boardies. He would have to put little lead weights in the hem like the queen does.

Blue E - no James doesn't speak Welsh; you are thinking of two chaps called William and Harry. They speak a little bit of Welsh. There again, James/William/Harry, I can see how you would have made that mistake - the three of them are the same!!!!

Alrighty then- to stay on topic, how many boardies who don't come to check out the message boards anymore would like to see James in a kilt during an updraft outdoors.. whoops- he's flipped 'is flip.. NICE legs.. and other stuff.. lol..

No, I did not know that Harry & William speak Welsh.. and if you are refering to whom I think you mean- i am not up on my facts when it comes to their family either. All I have to say is hmmm? to the comment James/William/Harry being the same..

Perhaps James would like us to knit him a kilt? Working in a tartan to the pattern would be challenging.. but if someone out there knows how to knit well enough- we could give 'er a go. I might be able to come up with a hand knitted scarf .. or at the very least, a really thick and absorbant hanky. I would volunteer to wipe his nose if he had a cold- he wouldn't be alone..

I miss ME not being here anymore! ;-P

I agree with Angharad. I still pop in for a nosey at the threads to see what James & the guys are up to but much of the discussion has been before so although it's fun reading, I really have nothing to add.

It really only hots up for me when the ANZACS start gearing up for JB gigs & that doesn't happen anywhere near as often as it should!

I have not been here for many moons. I will always be grateful for the many responses and cards I received from special friends here last year. I know I've been overdue to stop by. Sorry it has been such a very long time. Life and time has taken me away from here, as sometimes happens.

Funny what brought me back today is, once upon a time in the old forum there was a thread that asked what were all the concerts each person attended in their lifetime. I was listening to an all time favorite from the 70's, Mud Slide Slim by James Taylor and I wondered if I included that I'd seen James Taylor in concert. I couldn't find the thread so if anyone remembers and can locate it I'd appreciate it. I remember I had some rust on the brain just trying to recall that list. lol

Hope everyone is doing good. It was very exciting to have Barack Obama elected the 44th President of the USA on 4 November. It was also exciting to share this with others around the world that were equally hopeful for change.

I don't know if this is still a free download but a musician shared this from Montreal Canada on the 4 November and it sealed a good moment that very night. You can also hear it on his myspace

I see it coming your way
This time it's real
Your world about to collide
With your dreams
The waiting's just about to find

The end of the road
The planets are all aligned
To your soul

This is your lucky day
This is your lucky day
Finally

You've travelled long, I know
To reach this door
The key's already in the lock
Just turn it clockwise
You've waited on so patiently
Here is your gold
Remember me, forget me not
Remember me

Don't let the feeling
Fade away
Don't let the feeling
Fade away

I see it coming your way
This time it's real

I think this is the thread. It was on the old boards. Yes, you had listed him at #16.

Hi, so good to hear from you too. Thankyou, that was fast. I appreciate you finding that for me. It's nice to be remembered. I hope you are doing good. I'm back to enjoying the hockey season although it is suppose to be in the 80's {summer like temps} here in southern california today. I'll try to not be gone for so long.

Well, I still read regularly, and post here and there on occasion, but I suppose mine is one of the quieter voices from the old days now too.

Back in the early days of my boardieship, there weren't a lot of us - maybe 30-40 regulars and another 100 occasional members, with the rest being folks who posted just a few times here and there. So when someone new joined up or had questions, there weren't a lot of us to greet them and/or respond to them. Now, with a lot more regular members and a somewhat easier searching system on this board, I've been more than happy to pass on the mantle to others. There are a lot more people who know the answers, who welcome the new folks, who do the research than there were back in 2005-06. That can only be a good thing.

Like many others, my work and family life has become very hectic, and yes I have been drawn away to other endeavours. I've even been terribly remiss in keeping up with some of the very special friends I have made here, much to my chagrin. On the other hand, there's no doubt in my mind that there's a true community here, and I'm happy to say that on those occasions when I do pop in, I am always welcomed with open arms.

And on that note, I will fade away into the woodwork again for a bit....

Well, I don't know if anyone misses my posts ... LOL ... but I do miss coming to the board more often. My life is just too busy nowadays. Although it'll get better and I'll have a bit more time. I have a lot of fun posting things, some more serious than others. Anyway, take care everyone.
