It only took him how many years to find his triangle? Unless he's still on the hunt?

This might be of interest to those of you with children! (or even those of you without children!)

Elmo and company sing with Andrew Bocelli, Jason Mraz, Alicia Keys on new DVD

For kids, the new Sesame Street musical DVD offers plenty of rhyming, shapes and counting. For adults, Singing with the Stars offers a rare opportunity to watch A-list celebrities re-sing their pop tunes with family-friendly, educational lyrics. Some of the segments are average, but others can be quite hysterical. Having James Blunt sing about triangles is a highlight, plus the Ricky Gervais skit about the letter 'n' is a gem.

For me, put Elmo in every scene, and you can't go wrong.

There's not much to the DVD set in terms of bonus features. The patched-together special only runs 47 minutes, but there are some karaoke sing-along features, musical activity tips for parents and a downloadable activity book.

Included among the singers and actors are the Dixie Chicks, Alicia Keys, Sheryl Crow, Andrea Bocelli, Jason Mraz, R.E.M. and Adam Sandlers. The set proves to be a true archive of Sesame Street performances. Some of the segments are many years old, while others are much more recent.

Singing with the Stars is harmless fun that offers some educational tips along the way. Pop it into the DVD player and let the children enjoy a few minutes of musical fun.

Sesame Street: Singing with the Stars
Running time: 47 minutes

Rating: 3 stars out of 4

Interesting... I don't have children but I'm trying to find an excuse to buy it.

"Having James Blunt sing about triangles is a highlight"
Sure it is. The 'Sneak Peak' video on Youtube has more than 3,829,000 views.

jbfan132, you don't need any excuse to purchase this DVD other than your inner child looking for a treat. According to one of my reviews of the Canadian gigs last year, you have "the hyperkinetic energy of a 3-year old bouncing off the walls, with no plans to slow down" {this is embarrassing, now I'm quoting myself} . . . remember?

You have reached the perfect age to enjoy Sesame Street + James Blunt

Don't hold yourself back

jbfan132 I love that you are allowing your inner-child to impulse buy!

Just don't sing the 'educational' version next time we're together at a gig, ok?!

I thought it would be a good timing to raise a bit attention on this DVD while people are doing Christmas shopping.

I don't know why, but James' name is not mention at all on the DVD itself, neither on the box nor in any adverstisement. To my knowledge, it's the only place where we can find "My Triangle" original video. It's a real shame they have never given him proper credit.

Time flies so fast, Sesame Street will reach another milestone this year, its 50th anniversary!

This video has finally been uploaded to YouTube by Sesame Street Team on February 1st. Images of much better quality. Would be fun to see James' children's reaction on watching it for the first time.

James Blunt sings to Telly about his lost triangle and hopes he can help him find it!

Sesame Street: My Triangle with James Blunt (You're Beautiful Parody)

https://youtu.be/Z4cUQ1ItK-w

For the records:
The show was recorded on November 28 2006 and was shown during Sesame Street's 38th season on August 31 2007.

James' appearance is available on this DVD. I reckon Sesame Street did a huge mistake not mentioning his name at all, either front or back of the DVD, never anywhere.
