Who would you like to see?

I don't have any affiliations with this artist but have heard most of his songs and I think he'd be a great opening act for James. He's small time from Montreal. His name is Daniel Ghattas. If you have a chance search him up. www.danielghattas.com

Nice fella.

Hey Trinity!

Looks like my previous message vanished into thin air!

I was hoping for Jamie Lawson: I love his songs and to top it all off, he's Ed Sheeran's protege!

That would make sense, right?

Last tour we got to meet Gavin James and he is just unbelievable talented!
Thanks to James we are now really enjoying his music as well and his gigs are just brilliant! So now that Gavin's carreer is going fast and in case James wants someone new to support him, we hope to see other talented people who could use the support of an artist like James to bring their chances in the music world to a whole other level!

Personally we would love to see the Irish Craig Gallagher here! He is Gavin's best friend and has already supported Gavin on several occasions. Each time we are blown away by his vocals and I am sure he would be great to support James too!

Anyway, he is definitely worth a chance and his EP is very promising too:

@jamieblunt That's what I call perceptiveness! Yes, it all makes a lot of sense.

Jamie Lawson is signed to 'Gingerbread Man Records', Ed Sheeran's record label.

Interesting video in which Ed explains how he met Jamie.

Makes me wonder if poor James has any say in anything really! - taking the guy Ed's got signed to his label on tour! - all to corporate for me Jimbo....

Still, I wasn't expecting that. (god I hate that song! )

ICollectJB. Yes James' roots seem to be disappearing more and more nowadays! They call it progression I guess, but take the release The Afterlove-well what can I say?... I wasn't expecting that! I have no objection for James to go back to his roots!! (please!!). Then LD and i can enjoy Anna F all over again !!

I got this setlist from a superfan of Jamie Lawson. She told me that he doesn't like to share them publicly because "it breaks the magic". Now, I understand why there's not much to find on setlist.fm for him.

This particular setlist was posted by Jamie himself somewhere on the social media so, I feel comfortable to share it here.

Lanxess Arena, Cologne, Germany 18/10/2017

1. Cold In Ohio
2. Don't Say You Don't If You Do
3. Letter Never Sent
4. Don't Let Me Let You Go
5. Can't See Straight
6. He's Reading Helena
7. A Little Mercy
8. Someone For Everyone
9. The Last Spark
10. Wasn't Expecting That
11. Ahead Of Myself

Thank you so much Aline!!! 😍 I totally get what the super fan is saying. That's kind of why I've been keeping away from Blunty related social media posts. It totally kills the magic for me. Hence the Jamie Lawson craze. Give me something to chew on haha.

I thought Jamie Lawson was going to support James on all the UK tour but it seems not. The band Grafton Ash just posted this video on their Facebook page:

We are so happy to announce that we shall be supporting James Blunt on his Afterlove World Tour at the Arena Birmingham on 21st November 2017! You can purchase tickets from graftonash.com/tour. See you soon Birmingham! GA x

https://www.facebook.com/GraftonAsh/videos/1875752372739620/

From the local newspaper:

https://bromsgrovestandard.co.uk/news/bromsgrove-band-grafton-ash-named-as-james-blunts-support-act-for-arena-birmingham-gig/

A BROMSGROVE band will support James Blunt when his world tour comes to Birmingham next week, writes Lewis Glennon.

Grafton Ash were invited to Blunt’s ‘The Afterlove Tour’ after singer-songwriter Jamie Lawson pulled out of the show at Arena Birmingham.

Grafton Ash, made up of Dan Roberts (vocals/guitar), Dan Blake (vocals/drum), Stephen Ashford (guitar), and Sam Dimmick (bass guitar) have already shared the stage with the Feeling, The Fratellis and Reef since forming in 2015.

They have also played sold out shows at the Birmingham O2 institute and the London O2 Academy Islington.

The band said the chance to open up for James Blunt in Birmingham was ‘a dream come true’.

Dan said: ”It’s incredible news.

“We found out just last week and since then it’s been a whirlwind of preparation for the gig.”

The band, whose latest EP ‘Existing’ is out now, headlined Bromsgrove festival PerFest in August.

The event raised £5,000 for the bereavement maternity suit at Worcestershire Royal Hospital where Dan Roberts baby, Poppy, was born sleeping in May.

The James Blunt concert is on Tuesday night, November 21.

For more information visit graftonash.com. Tickets are available from jamesblunt.com/tour
