Sorry if I've missed this in a previous post...
Has the band lineup for this tour been confirmed?

@1iFiona - I can't remember in which interview it was but James said that he will be touring with the same musicians as usual. He didn't name them but I assume he meant John Garrison, Ben Castle, Karl Brazil and Chris Pemberton.

Wonderful news for the Asian fans!

jb@heart - I wish that James adds Japan to his world tour.

~~~
A new date has just been added to the North American tour! I see very happy Mexican fans on the social networks.
August 20th - Teatro Metropólitan, Mexico City, Mexico
There will be pre-sales on June 21-22 for Citibanamex cardholders.
Tickets info: http://www.ocesa.com.mx/evento/james-blunt/?hootPostID=d9883c64c3ac5e84d6087bbf21129d0b
Question: Is Ed Sheeran going to be the support act?
The last time James went to Mexico was on the All The Lost Souls Tour in February 2009. His return was definitely overdue.
I am hoping he does add more to his tour and Japan would be super nice and out my way in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, USA would be a little nice too.
Hi everyone, as the European tour is about to get started, I have a question about e-tickets and I'm not sure where to post it so here it is...
I booked tickets with teleticket service for the Brussels gigs. I chose the e-tickets option and got a payment confirmation saying I'd get the link to download the e-ticket about a month before the even.
I haven't got anything yet and I'm wondering... has anyone booked tickets with them and is waiting for the email ? Should I call them ? Or give them another week or more ?
Thanks for your help !
Prunilla,
E-tickets are usually instant. I'm surprised you haven't received a link to download and print right away after your purchase. Although, I've seen many e-mails I've been waiting for sent to the junk folder by accident so I'd check there first.
If you find nothing, call them right away. I hope you sort this out soon.
Hi Trinity, thanks for your answer. I'm positive the email said it was going to be sent much later, it said it was to avoid people selling their tickets for much more than what they paid for. Maybe I'm just being impatient ? I don't know. I emailed them and so far I've got no replies. We'll see. If I haven't heard back from them this time next week, I'll call them.
Prunilla, this is exactly how it worked for Ed Sheeran concerts in Canada (and possibly everywhere else in North America), and for the same reasons. We got an email few days before the concert with the e-tickets attached.
A good place to check could be the FB event page where the fans usually ask questions related to ticketing.
Edit: never mind, I found the event pages. I was typing the wrong words into the search bar. I'm awfully tired. Thanks Aline . It's good to know it was like that for Ed Sheeran too, I suppose I am just being my usual worried self then. I am SO looking forward to the gigs I would be gutted if it turned out I couldn't go.
Hey Prunilla! Just made a call to the venue in Brussels and asked about the tickets. We did not receive ours either! Apparently all tickets will be delivered either this week or early next week at the latest! So we should all get our tickets in time! So good to know you will come over to the Brussels gig too! Perhaps we'll see each other there!
Hey Prunilla, you're welcome, we don't want anyone to stress out before a gig!! Let's hope they actually do send out all tickets now! We are getting so excited too now, it's been way too long since we last saw James in Brussels so we can't wait either!
Indeed would be great if we could all meet up there! Will keep you posted as soon as I know more from the rest of the blunty gang we are going with!
Okay okay, I get your confusion about the day!!!
The gig is of course on Friday but I should have told you that we are used to start celebrating early!
Call it a pre-gig-rehearsal-party if you want... and oh yes, ... you are invited!!!
James' concert in Geneva was FANTASTIC! He had the crowd in his hand - as usual. BRAVO James.
it had been a good idea if there were made live recordings of some concerts. the whole package of a live show with its special atmosphere the rocking sound the different interpretation of the songs, the clapping, the screaming, the jokes ... - all this is not to compare with the usual album and it is irretrievable in the end of every concert. it keeps in mind of every person who visited the same concert, but everybody has got different memories. i love the live recordings which were made 2011, they beam me back at that place and time in the past and bring back some good memories.
it is a pity. the new songs sound live so much better and even somebody who did not like them or some of them while listening the album changes the opinion and starts loving these songs.
Asmina, I was thinking the same ! I would love a live recording. But then I have to say... I heard an interview of a French singer once who said he would never do that again because that's not the point of concerts, and releasing a live album kind of defuses the purpose of going live.
And, according to him, it's always hard work and incredibly disappointing to do a live recording, the end result is never up to the standards they set themselves and to put up so much energy and work into something they end up not liking isn't worth the trouble. Of course it pleases the crowd but apparently most artists don't like them.
Hi Prunilla, You're probably right. If it would be efficient and profitable and easy to get the permission of the venue owner/organizer, there would possibly be offered live recordings for download (like in 2011/2012). But I am a 100 percent spectator without taking photos or doing video recordings by myself during a concert. So I have to keep the memories only in my mind. And I'm getting older and my brain too.
But it is OK. Experiences are fleeting and there are always new ones. Sometimes I am toooooooo sentimental.
Hi James,
I enjoyed your Stuttgart and Munich concerts. The icing on my non-existent birthday cake would have been you signing my birthday designed shirt. Oh well, I guess I needed a real cake for the icing! At least I got an eye to eye postcard moment.
Hey, sorry, your answer completely escaped my notice ! I completely get what you mean. Luckily for me, my husband came along to the Paris gig and spent his time filming and taking pictures so I was 100 percent spectator but still got lovely memories!
Loving the videos from the Afterlove tour. Love the new arrangements for the older songs. The Europe leg of the tour looks awesome. I'm sad North America is not on the list, but torn because the man deserves some rest and time with his family.
