I asked authorization to Mr. Kevin Anderjaska to post here the link to his photo album on the video shoot. He agreed very kindly to share the photos with all James' fans. How cool is that? Thank you so much.

I have no doubt that James and all the fans will be very grateful to him for sharing these behind the scene pictures. Enjoy!

I like the bare bones feel of this video. It's genuine. The song is great. More than anything...I love the fact that James was FINALLY in my little corner of the world (sort of), even if it was only for a video shoot. So looking forward to the release of this CD. I am a happy girl!

Hey there Sheepy!

I wondered that myself. I thought it might have been an Indian but it looks like an old Harley. Can't make out the year.

Lina, Thanks I just watched it. Court sent me another link from the email (since I didn't get one...not feeling the love this time..lol...guess that's what I get for bragging that James emails me. HA!) And James just posted on twitter a link for YouTube.

The sense of just appreciating people and life that this video brings out warms my soul. This video isn't just about being entertained...it's about what we've all experienced even here on the boards for over the many years - connectivity. Connecting with people and appreciating each other's differences and individual lives that we all lead. The concept of riding along a highway on a motorcycle has always equated to me a sense of freedom, independence and spirit of adventure....getting away from the trappings of the world.

I truly really do like this one

Ah, so glad Deb.

Have you checked your junk mail? The e-mail could have been sent there by mistake.

It happens.

James looks a bit "James Dean", dontcha think? lol

Isn't it wonderful how you get a sense of simplicity from these folks in the video? Seriously. No flashy lives, no high rise penthouses, no expensive cars and crap.

The whole process of James capturing pictures of people who don't need much to be happy. *sigh*

The stunning scenery....

The basics of life blesses us with beauty. It's all around us if you just look.

EnjoytheRide (27/08/2013)
I then logged onto this forum via my computer, trying to view James' video in the NEWS section. No luck, as it was blacked-out, no video!!!!!!!

Hi EnjoytheRide, good to see you back. When you say "blacked-out" do you mean that you get this URL as the homepage on James' website? http://www.jamesblunt.com/splash/moonlandingus

If it's the case, it's not a black-out, it's where we are automatically redirected when we want to access www.jamesblunt.com. It has been this way since the online stores opened. I know it's baffling at first because we don't see any place to click to access the main website as usual. I simply erase the last part of the link to make sure it is: www.jamesblunt.com/forum Then it's easy to navigate as usual. I hope this will help. If the tech support section has a better idea, please don't be shy to come here.

Thank you jbfan132 for posting Mr. Anderjaska's FB album. I've been following along his interaction with fans on James' FB page and it's been a delight to read. It's very kind of him to take time to answer questions and share his photos. He seems really proud of the whole experience and meeting James.

EnjoyTheRide, That's just not right if you have not been able to enjoy this ride yet! That's just messed up.

James riding along the open road surrounded by sweeping scenery; and friendly, sweet interactions with the local folks.
This one's a keeper!!

And this may be the only time you'll ever get the warm fuzzies watching someone get a speeding ticket!

And of course they are real people; even actors are real people! Whether they are actors or not they look genuinely really happy God some people have got to pick holes in everything!

Sorry Nic, that was me saying about 'real life people'
I didn't really know what i was saying I was just too excited about everything and it all came out wrong, of course, whether you are an actor or not, you are real

And some people have to overreact to everything, making some others feel they have to apologise.

LD - you did nothing wrong. I think most people understood exactly what you meant by the term 'real people'.

I think there may have been some actors/actresses involved too, but that's fine as they probably wanted to have some eye candy alongside the mix of interesting faces. The line between real life and pretence is a little fuzzy in this video, but for me that adds to its charm.

We heard James explaining the story in interview but here we have a written text from him.

http://www.vh1.com/music/tuner/2013-08-27/james-blunt-bonfire-heart/

Video Premiere: James Blunt’s “Bonfire Heart”
by Samantha Friedman
August 27th, 2013

Okay, are you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside? Because you should be. James Blunt has stolen our hearts in the past with charmers like “You’re Beautiful” and this song, friends, is no exception. He shot this video throughout Idaho and Wyoming, and guess what? None of the people in the video are actors. Everyone you meet is their true character, lending James smiles and high fives on his motorcycle trip. It’s an emotional journey you won’t likely forget. So here’s to you and your blazing bonfire heart.

Oh… and remember the adorable couple tying the knot at the end of the video? Those gleaming smiles were for real. James Blunt stumbled upon these two lovebirds celebrating their oh-so-recent wedding ceremony, and he captured the action. But don’t take my word for it. Read what James had to say about it in this VH1 exclusive:

Hi Guys,

I just thought you should know the back-story of the end of the “Bonfire Heart” video – we had shot the video throughout Wyoming and Idaho over two days using real characters, and the final scene took place in the car park of a bar, where everyone we’d met on the journey would meet up and we planned to film a wrap party. What we didn’t know was that in the bar, a wedding was taking place, and when they saw us arrive, the entire wedding piled out and joined us. I played them all “You’re Beautiful” in the car park on my guitar, with the bride and groom pushed to the front by the 80-strong crowd, and then we lit fires and sparklers, put on “Bonfire Heart,” and the bride and groom had their first dance to it, which we filmed, and which is now the climax of the video. So if you think the girl looks happy at the end, you’ll know, she’s not acting.

James

Thanks Aline, it's good to read the background story. Reading between the lines, I don't think James just happened upon all those people by pure chance - actors or not, some of them were probably paid to appear. However, the wedding party seems to have been a real case of serendipity for all concerned. Anyway, however it happened, the video is very charming and enjoyable.

Good picture of James showing his high end watch Jean Richard Iconic Terrascope... Don't tell the company, but I'm sure he prefers to wear his pink one.

I think the video is quite nice as well, although I'm not a fan of music videos in general. They just seem so unnecessary to me, I don't know why...

The scenery in the video is pretty spectactular and worked well as a distraction, as I've only just noticed that James was wearing THAT dodgy old jacket again!  Ah well, nothing's perfect!

Wolfie, leave the jacket alone!

Does anyone know who it is that does the....2...3...4....towards the end of the song, i love that!!!!!!
