I'm just deciding where to move this post... into "Where is James now?" or into thread heaven....?

Strange time to go to Ibiza on holiday when everything is closed. I hope it's fun.... and strange for James to wander round with a guitar strapped to his back. Maybe he forgot it was there....?

Either way, it's just good to hear that it was an amicable meeting!

You can cut and paste from google translations....
Apologies the Spanish English google translator isnt to be replied upon

What can I say.... I put in

"Please can you fill my priceless vintage guitar with some gas to please to help that dear old lady who broke down on her moped...?"

and it came out with

Can I have some Burnt Sienna "Just for Men" hair dye?

oops

Well, it's been a while since touring and putting out an album, maybe he was trying to earn a little Christmas money serenading on the street corner or maybe just serenading a special lady who lives there.

Thanks Muse, I too use google translator but never got quite that mixed up lol. Would James really use his priceless vintage guitar? I imagine him giving the poor old dear a piggy back all the way to the shops and then back up the hill to where she lives, and carry her shopping, tho I don't know where the guitar would go?

I think heaven is the place.
I’m so envious of James.
I wish I could switch places with him…..cozying up to the fire….. all alone.
Walking empty streets……no distractions……..distant sounds of the ocean….
I’m almost at peace just thinking about it.

@bluntamaniac daz - How lucky you were to meet the man himself in the real world. Good for you.

@Billy - "Thread heaven"... I see, it's where all the deleted threads rest in peace? Must be crowdy there. The thread heaven God must laugh out loud when he welcomes a newcomer. muahahahahaha!

@wkdnic Well the old dear can strap the guitar on to her back, (they aren't heavy) Blunty then has his hands free to carry her shopping whilst giving her a piggy back. He could also entertain her by playing a handsfree harmonica. He could always sing of course, but a harmonica would be more entertaining.

If he was in the UK then he could use the guitar as a makeshift sled and then he could toboggan down on the way back from her house on the hill.

@themuse Yep that is just how I envisage him It did actually bother me the thought of him putting petrol in his guitar, so much so I dreamt of the guitar last night but it was made out of metal so no harm was done. Yes, I know, I'm weird. Now I'll be dreaming of it being used as a sledge!

@wkdnic ok since you have issues with my ideas turning dreams. Imagine Blunty stops by a local pub somehwere deep in the rural Hampshire countryside.
Whilst the uptight landlords are away on their annual hols he discovers that the naughty staff have all planned a massive lock in party....the evening digresses to a silly food fight with the tomatos and lemons and remaining manky KFC chips that no one likes anyway as they are too soggy. You discover that his guitar also works suprisingly well as a cricket bat as the lemons riochett off the memorabilia shelves knocking off the plates and books. You laugh the loudest as you stagger home as you are not rostered to do the morning clean up shift......

@themuse Sacrilege, I'll be having nightmares for weeks.
I suppose a few squishy lemons couldn't do that much damage, could they?
How about mashed potato? Or candy floss?

@wkdnic lemons aren't squishy - they leave bruise marks esp. the knobly ends and as your mother says "it was all fun and games until someone lost an eye"

Its only a guitar...they are replaceable so no need to loose sleep...on the other hand fingers aren't....

So the next day Blunty made his favourite hair of the dog with a Glenmorangie, ginger beer and a sliced lemon, unfortunately the blender got stuck and stalled with a large piece of lemon,... so in his hungover state forgot to unplug it and reached in to dislodge the lemon for the blades with his right hand and....

Are we the only ones here?

I have just realised I don't have to drive anywhere tomorrow and I have just acquired a taste for Glenfiddich. Its better than red wine as it doenst leave those tell-tale purple lips the next day. Double bonus. But I have never had a whisky hangover before. I'll probably feel like I have been run over by a tractor with a plough attached the next day...

People often think that but they are misguided, I'm not on anything except over fermented picked onions that my Grandad lovingly made for me. Rock and roll...

Whiskey and picklrd onions, sounds like heaven, if you actually like them things. Is your Grandad Rock and Roll? Does he make some jars that have chilli flakes in them?
