Ideas for people to sing with James, male, female, bands etc.

Katie Melua, Adele, Enya, Clannad, Paul Simon.....

diehardmusefan Posted 03 October 2011 15:25

Kate Bush, Cat Power, Micah P. Hinson, Jimmy Hendrix.

susancrayner Posted 03 October 2011 16:07

that would be really interesting, Kate Bush!
Or Bob Marley/Jimi Hendrix in an orb!
What about Katy Perry?

diehardmusefan Posted 03 October 2011 16:37

Awesome. Maybe him and Sarah McLachlan or Paul McCartney.

cassiopee Posted 05 October 2011 07:13

Metal head first : Bruce Dickinson, they should have a try at "Brave New World"...I mean, that would really be different but really nice.
I bet the whole band would have fun playing it too...
On softer grounds he could sing and play "Dust in the wind", an old song (taken by, not written by it seems) the German band Scorpions...

Maybe... Paul McCartney.

Please God, NOoooo!!!!!!!!!! I know he wrote a lot of good songs, back in the day, but please spare us from seeing this man perform now... he is WAY past his sell by date, IMO. To be honest, I'm not sure I'd enjoy seeing James sing with any other man either, but I can't explain why.

Adele has a fantastic voice and I think James would enjoy working with her, as she has a great personality and sense of humour too. Also, his voice seemed to work well with Laura Pausini on that Italian single they made... they looked good together, too. I'm sure there'd be no shortage of female singers who'd relish the prospect of singing alongside James.

diehardmusefan Posted 06 October 2011 23:20

HAHHAHAHAHA!!!

Okay okay, Adele sounds nice, I don't mind him with Bono or Matt Bellamy or Steven Tyler. LOL.

Jamesline Posted 07 October 2011 20:31

me too wow what a dream....

diehardmusefan Posted 07 October 2011 20:37

Maybe Hanson perhaps or James Morrison himself.

Wolverinefan Posted 07 October 2011 21:38

Just when I thought you'd seen sense... then you have to go and mention BONO! Aghhhhhhh!!!!!!!! Please stop this torture DHMF! Bono and Paul McCartney have got to be two of the most sanctimonious singers on the planet - the thought of poor James having to share a stage with either of them does my head in!

As for James Morrison, didn't you notice that in a recent interview James said they were actually one and the same person?!? He can't really do a duet with himself can he... I mean, surely you don't really expect him to play with himself on stage?

diehardmusefan Posted 08 October 2011 00:33

Ok then, how about Eric Clapton or Michael Jackson?

susancrayner Posted 08 October 2011 11:14

Jessie J is a pretty amazing new singer from Essex, she has dueted on James Morrison's latest album, and has a new single out which shows she is a thoughtful song writer, and would make a very interesting collaboration with James Blunt as a singer. I am not sure how their vocal styles would blend together.
There are many male singers who duet with other males, Simon and Garfunkel, Steels and Croft, so I think that would be great to hear too, maybe with someone like Josh Groban, or David Gray, or even Gary Barlow, would be lovely if they get a good track.
N.B. This is fantasy, not reality, in case anyone was getting concerned.

cassiopee Posted 08 October 2011 11:16

LD Actually LD I wrote "me" too then edited

cassiopee Posted 08 October 2011 11:18

no no Susan, it's not fantasy lol it's just for fun

susancrayner Posted 08 October 2011 11:37

Fun and fantasy Cassiop! The serious side, is the blend of harmonies though, don't you think, from a musical perspective, how singers blend, like different colours or shades! Of course me too, that doesn't need to be stated does it?

diehardmusefan Posted 08 October 2011 16:16

Jessie J is brilliant
Bob Dylan, anyone?

cassiopee Posted 09 October 2011 17:36

Indeed Susan

diehardmusefan Posted 10 October 2011 07:27

David Bowie with the Christmas Song.

Evieee8blunty Posted 12 October 2011 15:57

shirleyannwilliams@hotmail.com... Posted 12 October 2011 23:12
