I notice recently the birthday section had changed from showing all the birthdays coming in the next 7 days, to just showing today's birthdays.
At first i thought it was a good idea to just show todays birthdays only, i now changed my mind.
Not showing the birthdays in advance, a board member can miss not wishing someone a happy birthday, if they don't vist the boards everyday. You can miss a birthday if you don't see it coming. Not so good to wish someone a happy birthday after it's gone by.
Can the birthday section be changed back to the way it was, as some board members have missed posting happy birthdays messages to other board members.

I think it's better in this new form. Before it looked crowded with too many names and if somebody is dear and close to you ,you should know their birth date anyway.Just my opinion

Is there anyway your birthday can be shown without putting in the year you was born.
If you just put the day and the month only and save, you go back into profile and the day and month is not saved. That explains why no birthdays are showing, and i miss not wishing other board members a happy birthday.

My birthday was 22 March but the site didn't seem to flag it up.

I used to like having my birthday announced on the old site and receiving the odd birthday greeting.  However, part of me was happy that didn't happen this year, as it was one of those birthdays involving a rather large number...the sort that could cause a fire hazard if you light the corresponding number of candles on the cake!  So maybe it's best it came and went unnoticed...I can just slip back into denial now!

The reason why your birthday was missed, was because you gave no date of birth info. The only problem when you put your birthday details, it wants the year you was born. I don't like to input my age so just enter my day and month and year as 2010. So i will celebrating my 1st birthday in 3 weeks time. It must be that boots protect and perfect cream i put i my face that makes me look so young.
I have sent tech support a e-mail, to find out why the Birthday reminder has been removed, if it's no replaced a lot more birthdays will be missed in the future.

Lady b...I think there are two different places where you can put your DOB details in...maybe I left one blank.  Anyway, it's true I didn't put my actual birth year in...I chickened out and typed in year 2000 so the system thinks I'm 11!

I know it's silly to worry about age...it really is just a number.  Nobody likes to feel that they're "past it" and the approach of certain milestone birthdays will do that to a woman.  All very silly of me.

PS: Your walking and talking skills are amazing for a 1 year old, lady b!

The birthday notification may have been suspended due to what happen last year. On first of January we had thousands of birthdays all on the same day. Lets hope the birthday section is brought back soon. Don't want to miss anyone's birthday.

Update, birthday notification is now working.
