Can something be done to stop topic reply notications. I check my profile, and i have selected NO to e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in.
It's getting very annoying keep deleting these items in my In Box. Other boardies have the same problem too.

When you post something, you can click on a box "Notify me when a reply is posted", have you clicked on that? I had selected that for a really long time, and i got topic reply notifications, even though i had selected no in my profile too.. i hope this helps!

When is this problem going to stop. I selected NO to replys on my profile, so i don't expect to have my in box clogged up with these annoying topic reply notifications.

Sometimes these problems seem to fizzle out after a while.

If it's annoying you so much, then you can also block the e-mail address within your own personal e-mail settings. However, it will stop you receiving e-mails regarding any Private Message Notifications.
PM Notifications pop-up on when you enter the message board anyway, so you can be alerted.

[If PM Notifications don't pop-up for you, you can change your settings to allow pop-ups from this particular website depending on your personal computer settings.]

Still getting some notifications in my in box. The only way i can stop too many arriving in my in box, is every time i post to remember to select, stop watching this topic.
In my profile i select NO to replys, so why is this still happening?

Help!

For some reason over the last few hours I have not been getting Topic Reply Notifications that I am signed up for. I have checked the topics on the site and there have been numerous replies and I am still marked as being notified when a reply is posted. I have had NO e-mails from the site.

Can anyone help please??

Forever in your debt.

Yours hopefully and desperately

wissmily, when you reply to a topic, underneath the box you're typing your reply in, there's a list of Post Options.

One of the options is 'Topic Subscription Notification Type'
Below that, is a drop-down menu with the options:

Do not subscribe - This option is automatic.

No E-mail Notification (Just Add To List) - Select this and you will see this topic appear in Control Panel Subscriptions Forum Subscriptions

Immediate Notification of New Posts by E-mail
- Select this and you will receive an e-mail telling you that there's been a reply to the topic, you will also see this appear in your Forum Subscriptions.

---

If you want to unsubscribe, there may be an option in Forum Subscriptions.

guess we're not the target audience anymore... too old to cope with all (qoute my mum) "that weird internet stuff"...

other possibility (and better for our reputation ):
the admin is as old as we are and faces the same problems... does not get any notification of our posts pleading for help...

*replying to self*

---

Okay, it hasn't worked.

---

Here's how I see it, I think this option must be disabled because when I selected the e-mail notification option, there was no button to confirm my selection.

So, it turns out the option isn't yet available..
